ABOUT ARIA

Located at the edge of the universe, it is a resonant world harmonized by music.
This is a MUSICAL & LIVE SHOW carrying the message of
“Life,” “Love,” and “Peace”
This show is the story of IA and ONE (delivered through the connection of their spirits) coming from the planet ARIA and living their current lives on Earth.
It is a mutual performance consisting of virtual and actual reality; a crossover of music, art, and technology; a completely new kind of live entertainment show - beyond the music live - experienced with all five senses.

The ARIA show is broken down into four chapters; the live part includes “PARY A GO-GO 2,” which is a sequel to IA’s first world tour. At this show, you can enjoy viewing the changes in her style of performance over the course of her time with us on our planet.

At the sold-out venue of the first ARIA performance, DMM VR THEATER YOKOHAMA, the show (in January 2019) was unveiled focusing on the use of imaging technology (called a hologram for those who have never seen this type of show), the same technology used at the premiere performance in France in the Summer of 2018. That premier ARIA show, despite being a simple a pre-production, received high praise from the French media (even national TV!) as being the latest in digital artwork.

About IA

IA (pronounced as Eeh-ah) is a virtual artist who was “born” in 2012. She has developed into a uniquely talented virtual artist with not only incredible performance and singing ability but with the capacity to do things that vocaloids cannot. Her voice bank-Vocaloid 3-won first place in the Amazon Music production software ranking in the first week of its release. She has consistently received high marks from the music industry, including critics, executives, producers, and end users. Along with the VOCALOID™3 Library (IA – ARIA ON THE PLANETES and IA ROCKS), IA also has a voice with the CeVIO Library (IA English). The number of related viewings of her videos online has exceeded one hundred million.

She has achieved notoriety for being selected as an image girl for the largest car racing event in Japan - the SUPER GT. She is also known for being a vocal on the famous CD Mekakucity Actors as well as being on the CD of the last volume appendix of the comic Neon Genesis Evangelion.

In 2015, she held her first solo live, “PARTY A GO-GO,” with the theme of co-starring virtual and actual (human) artists. This live show was a spectacular success both at home and abroad, and as a result, it ended up developing into a world tour in cities such as Los Angeles; New York; London, Shanghai; Hong Kong; Mexico City; San Jose, Costa Rica; Melbourne; Montreal; Santiago, Chile, and Madrid. In addition, her film concerts were featured in more than one hundred cities around the world, drawing an audience of over thirty thousand. She also appeared at the BILIBILI MACRO LINK music festival held in Shanghai. The number of simultaneous viewers throughout the world viewing that live concert totaled over 720,000, which exceeded even the most optimistic expectations.

IA was appointed to the first executive committee of the 2018 IOI (International Olympiad in Informatics), which was held in Japan and involved over eighty-three countries. Her participation in that committee, which oversaw IOI public relations, has set the stage for future expansion of her activities outside of musical performance. Stay tuned. IA may very well yet blow your mind.
